The Case of the Purloined Franzen Glasses (UPDATED)

Someone stole Franzen's glasses...Then asked for a ransom of $100,000 for their safe return. This is true.

Luckily, before his glasses were taken...FROM HIS FACE...he wrote this for the New Yorker.

After his glasses were safely returned (PHEW!), Frazen spoke to NPR about it.

And now, as the dust settles and the police chopper is grounded, people are asking, "WTF?!"
