Super list. I never would've thought of Strunk and White, but it sure qualifies. I'm also compiling a list: Little-known (rather than little) books that started revolutions, or were otherwise widely influential. Can you think of any? I have a pretty good handle on such books in English, French, and Spanish (and a few in German and Russian), as well as books from the classical era (pre-St Jerome), but can you think of any whose original language was a bit more obscure, at least to the West? I would be so grateful for the help. I'll send ya a fruit basket! ---Bill C.
