Jon's Writing on Executed Today


I had the pleasure of writing about Pierre Basile who was executed by being flayed, then hung, then hastily buried for shooting dead King Richard the Lionheart (pictured above). It was, undoubtedly, not pleasurable for Basile.

For the always enjoyable Web site, Executed Today, I recently wrote about the execution of Dun Xerri. Xerri was a Maltese patriot shot for his defiant acts on January 17, 1799.

Jon's Writing on Executed Today


I was a guest blogger recently on Executed Today. Executed Today is a fascinating, though slightly morbid site, which highlights someone in history executed on the particular day you're looking at the site. My post was about Caesarion. He was assassinated. He was the son of Cleopatra and Julius Caesar.
