The Typewriter Art of Keira Rathbone

From a piece in the Telegraph...

Keira Rathbone uses the machines, some of which are up to 70 years old, to draw portraits with astonishing accuracy.

Working from her studio in Chiswick, London, and in locations throughout the city, Miss Rathbone turns the platen to move the paper and selects different characters to make the shapes she wants.

Using knowledge she has built up over seven years, the 27-year-old from Dorset is now able to manipulate the page loaded into the typewriter. Using a variety of numbers, letters and punctuation she is able to build up intricate recreations of faces and objects.
