Dorothea Lange is my favorite photographer. Her pictures of the Great Depression are now iconic, none more so than "Migrant Mother" (image above). The girl on the left, burying her head in her mother's shoulder, was recently profiled on CNN. She now cleans homes in Modesto, California.
